Jonathan's take - a storm in a teacup
🎦 01:09-01:53⏩
Jonathan gives his opinion - this is much ado about nothing and happens all the time, with both sides doing the same thing, and people are overreacting. He aims to provide context as people (including UK media) don't seem to understand this.

Keir Starmer's response
🎦 01:53-02:52⏩
Jonathan discusses Keir Starmer's response to the complaint. Starmer had dinner with Trump in New York in September. Starmer denies that there is an issue and says that any Labour supporters in the US are there in their own time and at their own expense.

Activists from all parties are in the US
🎦 02:52-03:42⏩
Jonathan points out that this story has been taken out of context - a small detail mentioned at the end of a long article reveals that Conservative Party activists are also in the US helping Trump's campaign. Nigel Farage has spent time in the US campaigning for Trump, attending the Republican National Convention alongside Liz Truss.

Hypocrisy - Nigel Farage's US trips funded by UK donors
🎦 03:42-04:25⏩
Jonathan highlights the hypocrisy of the situation - Farage complains about Labour activists travelling to the US to campaign, but Farage's own trips to the US to support Trump were funded by Reform UK donor Christopher Harbon to the tune of £32,800 for flights and hotels.

Rank hypocrisy from UK Conservative Party
🎦 04:25-05:21⏩
Jonathan is angry - he points out Labour activists are in the US as individuals, with trips not paid for by Labour coffers or the government. He argues that this is normal and Conservatives are being hypocritical as they do the same. He feels the UK media are not doing enough to explain the situation.

The Metro - Trump complaint a 'political stunt'
🎦 05:21-07:16⏩
Jonathan discusses an article in "The Metro" which describes the Trump complaint as a 'political stunt'. The article quotes Sir Brent Bradshaw, Culture Secretary and Health Minister under Gordon Brown, who says volunteers from all UK political parties help out their sister parties overseas. Bradshaw says there is no evidence of a rift between Starmer and Trump, adding that the Labour government will work with whoever is US president.

Liz Truss hypocrisy - "We need a Republican back in the White House"
🎦 07:16-09:25⏩
Jonathan continues the theme of hypocrisy. This time it's the turn of Liz Truss, former UK Prime Minister. Truss spoke at a Conservative conference (CPAC) in the US, for which organisers paid £1,465 towards her travel and accommodation. Whilst an MP, at the conference she said "We need a Republican back in the White House. We need it desperately". She recently criticised Labour activists for getting involved in the US Election. In July, she said she wanted Trump to win. Audio is played of her with Nigel Farage, saying "Unless we conservatives go and support Donald Trump... we're in serious trouble".

Trump endorses Boris Johnson
🎦 09:25-10:55⏩
More hypocrisy from Jonathan as he discusses how Trump endorsed Boris Johnson to become UK Prime Minister. He reiterates this is a storm in a teacup: the Labour activists are acting as individuals, the trips aren't paid for by the Labour party or the government, and this happens across the political spectrum in many countries.
