Russian Offensive in Luhansk Oblast
The ISW reports that the Russian offensive in Luhansk Oblast has begun, with significant elements of at least three major Russian divisions committed to offensive operations in this sector. The offensive likely has not yet reached its full tempo, and its success is not predetermined. The culmination of these forces could lead to them achieving their objectives of capturing all of Luhansk and Donetsk Oblasts or providing an opportunity for Ukrainian forces to exploit with their own counter-offensive.

Fighting Northwest of Svatove and Kreminna
There is fierce fighting in Synkivka, with Russian claims that it might be under their control, although this is unlikely. Fighting is also reported around Novoselivske. The uptick in fighting extends from Svatove to Kreminna and south of Kreminna.

Russian Advances and Claims Near Kreminna
Russian forces are attempting to break through Ukrainian defences near Kreminna and have attacked Chervonopopivka. Unconfirmed footage suggests Russians have crossed the Zherebets River and captured Ukrainian positions in an unspecified location. Elements of the 3rd Motor Rifle Division are approaching the river and threatening Ukrainian positions. Advances have been made towards Torske and near Bilohorivka, but Ukrainian sources report no significant progress.

Situation in Bakhmut
Russian forces have made marginal advances north of Bakhmut near Krasna Hora and Zaliznianske. They are visually confirmed to be 2.5 kilometres away from the E40 Bakhmut-Sloviansk highway, although this may be even closer. The situation in Bakhmut is precarious, with the M03 highway to Sloviansk operationally cut. Ukraine is fighting back, but Russian troops aim to encircle Ukrainian forces in Paraskoviivka and Krasna Hora. Some positions in the latter have reportedly been abandoned.

Fighting in Marinka
There are conflicting claims about the situation in Marinka, with some Russian sources claiming they have cleared all Ukrainian fortifications and are nearing the completion of its liberation. However, other Russian sources state that the situation has not changed significantly and fighting continues in the town centre without major changes. The deployment of valuable Russian conventional military units in the area is notable if confirmed.

Vuhledar and Zaporizhzhia Front
In Vuhledar, there are conflicting claims from Russian sources about the intensity of fighting. Ukrainian sources report that Russian forces have suffered huge losses in the area, with elite tank units and infantry being devastated by Ukrainian artillery and anti-tank teams. On the Zaporizhzhia front, there are reports of Russian reinforcements pouring in, but no significant developments.

Activity on the Kinburn Spit
The UK MOD reported that Russian and Ukrainian forces have likely deployed small groups on the Kinburn Spit in Mykolaiv Oblast, aiming to control the Dnipro Gulf. This may be part of a Russian information operation to create a perceived threat against Kherson city and fix Ukrainian forces in the area.
