According to Russian reports, the Ivan Khurs was attacked by at least three naval drones early on the morning of May 24th. The location of the attack is variously claimed as being while the ship was passing through the Bosphorus Strait, or 40km north of the strait after passing through. The crew reportedly repelled the attack and the ship was undamaged. The Ivan Khurs is a modern reconnaissance ship and one of only two in the Black Sea fleet. It is equipped with radio reconnaissance and electronic warfare equipment, as well as machine guns and air defense systems. It has a crew of 120.
