Evil Gherkin's Predictions
War criminal Gherkin predicts that Turkey will have a direct military clash with Russia, potentially in Syria, the Transcaucasus, and the Black Sea. He suggests Turkish troops may participate in operations against the Russian army in Ukraine and Crimea under the guise of volunteers. Gherkin believes the Turks will begin to move towards open confrontation with Russia after extracting all possible peaceful concessions from the Kremlin. He warns that the Russian expeditionary force in Syria, cut off from supplies and reinforcements, won't have a chance to defeat the Turkish army if the Bosphorus and Dardanelles are closed to Russian fleets and supply ships. Jonathan is amazed Gherkin hasn't "fallen out of a window" yet for his outspoken views against Putin, whom he calls a "cowardly mediocrity" that needs to transfer power to someone more capable and responsible.

Use of Cluster Munitions in Ukraine
Mainstream media is now reporting the first documented use of cluster munitions by Ukraine. Russian forces have produced a drone video showing Ukrainians using cluster munitions. The video shows a strike that killed Mikhail Luchin, a Russian drone operator and volunteer. The cluster munitions used appear to be quite small, more like hand grenades rather than the larger ones previously used by Russians in Kharkiv.

Intercepted Call from Russian Serviceman
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry intercepted a call from a Russian serviceman who talks about losses and recognises that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are a much more effective army than the Russian Federation. Jonathan plans to share the translation of this short video once available.

Gepard Anti-Aircraft Vehicles for Ukraine
Gepard anti-aircraft vehicles, which are autocannons mounted on a tracked chassis, have become relevant again in Ukraine for tackling slower attack drones like the Shahed drones used by Russia. Germany has been negotiating with Qatar to purchase 15 Gepards to send to Ukraine, in addition to the ones already delivered or planned. The US has also purchased an undisclosed number of Gepards from Jordan for Ukraine. These Gepards provide important air defence coverage with a 25km radar range and the ability to network them together.

Artillery Shell Disparity in Eastern Ukraine
According to Ukrainian commander Syrsky, in the battles in eastern Ukraine, Russians have a significant advantage in artillery ammunition, firing seven to eight shots for every one Ukrainian shot. However, Ukraine carefully plans their operations to achieve success despite this disparity. Jonathan explains that the number of shots fired doesn't directly translate to casualties or success due to factors like the use of precision-guided munitions by Ukraine, inaccuracy of Russian artillery, and the poor quality of Russian shells. He notes that this ammunition supply gap will likely shrink over time as nations supporting Ukraine ramp up production and Russia's logistics and depots continue to be targeted.
