Kharkiv Apartment Building Hit
Before discussing the frontlines, Jonathan reports that an apartment building in Kharkiv was hit by a Russian S-300 missile, killing an elderly lady and injuring several others. S-300s are inaccurate when used in ground-to-ground mode. Russia has a habit of hitting apartment buildings with missiles.

Kupyansk to Svatove to Kreminna Frontline
- Repelled attacks around Kuzmivka and Novoselivka, which are apocalyptic scenes with buildings destroyed.
- Russians stepping up activity and making small gains around Yampolivka, Dubrovo, Bilohorivka.
- Russians appear to have switched to offensive mode, pushing Ukrainians back who were doing well south of Kreminna.
- Grey zone now stretches close to Torske, Zarichne, Yampilivka.
- Russians pressuring Chervonopopivka up to Ploshchanka, and Bilohorivka where Ukrainians have done fairly well.
- Ukrainians face difficulty crossing Siverskyi Donets river at Serebryanka due to Russian artillery and mortars. Other crossings at Zarichne and Bilohorivka also hammered by Russians.
Bakhmut Area
- Russians have taken Blahodatne and land west of the road, previously held by Ukrainians using railway as defensive line.
- Ukrainians likely fell back to fortified high ground west of Blahodatne.
- Krasnopolivka north of Soledar also under Russian control.
- Intersection south of Paraskoviivka is contested.
- Russians concentrating on encircling and moving through weaker villages/countryside to cut off Bakhmut, rather than costly direct assaults.
- Fighting has slowed in eastern Bakhmut suburbs as Russians focus on north and south.
Avdiivka, Donetsk and Vuhledar
- Donetsk city shelled by Ukrainians, damaging buildings. Ilovaisk train station hit by HIMARS.
- Russians attacking towards Sieverne and Tonenke near Avdiivka for next stage of encirclement.
- No real changes around Marinka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka - repelled attacks.
- Vuhledar the most active area. Russians attacking from Pavlivka and Mykilske but suffering heavy losses of personnel and equipment to Ukrainian artillery.
- 155th Naval Infantry Brigade "got their asses kicked" again, pushed back to southern dachas.
- Large concentration of Russian forces (list provided) but high losses in assaulting units.
Southern Front
- No reports of the claimed Russian offensive near Orikhiv for 48+ hours.
- Artillery duels continue in Kherson area. Russians shelled Kherson city including a hospital.
