📍 FRONT-LINE UPDATE -🗺️ MAP LEGEND
Bakhmut
- All mappers show a change near the Bekivka reservoir, indicating Russians are pushing Ukrainians back from this area
- Ukrainians seem to be doing an operational withdrawal as they don't consider it worth holding
- The reservoir is not a significant obstacle as the dam was blown and it's largely empty
- A Russian milblogger claimed Ukrainians made gains east of the railway near Andriivka, but geolocated footage from Nov 4 shows Russians made marginal gains
- Russians repelled a large Ukrainian assault near Vasyukivka, destroying 2 armored vehicles
Avdiivka
- Syriac Maps reflects the claim that Ukrainians are trying to push back north of Avdiivka in the Krasnohorivka area
- A Russian milblogger claimed Russians established a foothold near Stepova and advanced west of the railway
- Russians also claimed unspecified gains southeast of Avdiivka
- The city is heavily shelled by Russian artillery and aviation, with 4-10 aerial bombardments per day
- Ukrainians claim Russians lost 212 personnel near Avdiivka in the past day, and 250 killed/wounded with 20 armored vehicles lost in the past 24 hours
Marinka/Velyka Novosilka
- Ukrainians repelled more than 20 Russian assaults near Marinka and Novomykhailivka
- There were 42 combat engagements in this direction over the past day, mostly near Marinka
- Russians made some gains northeast of Pryiutne and Ukrainians gained around Stepove according to Syriac Maps
Robotyne
- Geolocated footage from Nov 4 indicates Russians made small advances in the trench line west of Vodyane
- Other footage shows Ukrainians made limited gains northwest of Verbove
- A Russian milblogger claimed they repelled Ukrainian attacks near Robotyne and Verbove
Dnipro River
- Geolocated footage from Nov 4 shows Ukrainians marginally advanced on the southwestern corner of a solar panel farm near Piatykhatky
- Other footage confirms Ukrainians hold positions in houses in Krynky
- Ukrainians still control the solar panel field north of Piatykhatky on the left bank of the Dnipro
Wrap up
The Ukrainian counteroffensive has slowed down along the main line of contact. Robotyne seems to have ground to a halt. Russians are still trying to push and make gains in Avdiivka despite heavy losses. They pushed back a bit in the Bakhmut area. One thing to watch is whether Ukrainians can maintain pressure in Bakhmut or if they have culminated, potentially handing initiative back to the Russians. Ukrainians need to keep pressuring over the winter to fix Russian troops in place and prevent them from consolidating and strengthening their fortifications too much.
