"The Ukrainian people will not accept a peace where the Russians can keep what they have occupied or a peace that only postpones a military settlement by five to nine years. It is not only a pure political disaster, it's also an economic disaster who wants to invest in a country that is guaranteed to be re-invaded when the Russian country considers itself strong enough"
Hello Team!
Jonathan explains he did not do a frontline update yesterday as it was Sunday and real life took over. He dismisses pro-Russian comments suggesting this was because things are going badly for Ukraine. The weather was terrible which likely limited any significant developments.

📍 FRONT-LINE UPDATE -🗺️ MAP LEGEND
Frontline Overview
- Kenneth Greg, a Finnish fighter in Ukraine, reports the Russians have moved everything they have to Avdiivka for a final attempt. Both sides are strengthening their positions with loitering munitions, anti-tank weapons and artillery.
- There is information Germany may force Ukraine into peace talks by withholding promised weapons. Kenneth argues this would be a political and economic disaster as it would only postpone further Russian invasion.
- Volunteer drone experts are working to provide Ukrainian battalions with new drone capabilities to help eliminate 50-100 Russians per day in Bakhmut.
Northeast Frontline (Kupyansk-Svatove)
- The frontline remains fairly positional with some adjustments to the map but no major changes.
- The ISW reports Russian forces have intensified their use of loitering munitions and drones near Synkivka in attempts to advance towards Kupyansk.
- A Russian blogger claimed Ukrainian forces attempted to seize initiative in the Serebryansky forest by taking advantage of Russian troop deployments to other areas.
Bakhmut
- No changes to the frontline around Bakhmut. The situation remains tough for both sides.
- The Ukrainian General Staff reports their forces continue conducting assaults north of Bakhmut, inflicting losses on Russian forces.
- Russian bloggers claim some gains to the north and south of Bakhmut but these are not confirmed. Fighting continues around Kurdyumivka with no major changes.
Avdiivka
- Avdiivka is the main focus for Russian forces. There are confirmed Russian advances to the northwest and southeast of the town.
- Geolocated footage shows marginal Russian gains near Krasnohorivka and in the eastern industrial zone. Russian bloggers claim they have captured the entire industrial area but this is not confirmed by ISW.
- Footage shows a large amount of destroyed Russian equipment south of Avdiivka near Vodyane, attesting to heavy losses.
- A Russian blogger claims Ukrainian forces advanced 0.5km towards Novomykhailivka but failed to advance towards Opytne. Weather is limiting maneuvers in the area.
Kherson-Dnipro River
- A Russian blogger claimed Russian forces entered the western outskirts of Krynky. The area is contested with reports of Ukrainian forces expanding their bridgehead.
- Supplying Russian troops at Krynky is logistically difficult due to the terrain and Ukrainian artillery control. Ukraine has better infrastructure and logistics on their side of the river.
- As Ukraine makes gains, it will become harder to support their troops across the river. Aviation remains a threat despite Ukrainian strikes on Russian airbases.
- Geolocated footage suggests Ukrainians have pushed east near Krynky. A Russian counterattack was reportedly repelled with heavy losses. Unconfirmed reports claim Ukrainians have liberated Krynky and are advancing towards Kozatske.
Wrap up
Jonathan notes the recent storms may have washed away Russian trenches in sandy areas along Crimea but an amphibious invasion by Ukraine is doubtful. He thanks viewers for their support and mentions he will go listen to the song "Youngblood" by Yungblud.
