Russia Ready for Dialogue
Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesperson, stated Russia is ready for a dialogue on a settlement but Ukraine refuses. Jonathan believes this reflects that things are difficult for Russia militarily and they could be in trouble going forward.

Kupyansk to Svatove

- Russian gains reported southwest of Svatove over last 3-5 days around Kalmativnivka, Nodjanie and Raiha-Rodka
- Institute for the Study of War (ISW) notes Russian MoD claims but no visual confirmation; suggests Russians may be exaggerating
- Ukrainian source claims they pushed back Russian elements close to original positions using American cluster munitions

Kreminna
- Russian forces continue offensive operations west of Kreminna

Bakhmut

Avdiivka
Fighting remains intense around Avdiivka according to Ukrainian Deputy Defence Minister. No territorial changes reported to the north or around Vodyane and Opytne. Russian milbloggers claim they can interdict remaining Ukrainian ground lines of communication in the area, but ISW notes they have routinely made such claims prematurely.
