Russian news agencies TASS and Interfax are reporting that Yevgeny Prigozhin was on board a plane that crashed north of Moscow in the Tver region and that he is dead, along with 10 others on board including 3 crew. Western news agencies have not confirmed his death yet so take it with a pinch of salt for now.

Significance of Prigozhin's reported death
If true, Yevgeny Prigozhin's death is hugely significant news. After his failed mutiny against Putin, Prigozhin ended up on Putin's "naughty list" and people on that list often end up on the wrong side of life. This leads to speculation that Putin could be behind the crash. However, it could also be the work of other actors within Russia like the FSB, MOD, elites or oligarchs. The Ukrainians or other third parties and intelligence agencies outside Russia like the US and UK also can't be ruled out, as many would have an interest in Prigozhin no longer being around.

Speculation over Prigozhin's recent whereabouts
Prigozhin was recently seen in Africa but some were claiming he wasn't actually there as he looked too heavily dressed for the hot weather. If he has indeed perished in this crash in Russia, it may confirm he wasn't really in Africa and that was faked. Nonetheless, this is massive news and a really big development.
