Northeast frontline (Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna)
- Pro-Russian sources claim Russian paratroopers supported by artillery and heavy flamethrower systems stormed Ukrainian strongholds south of Kreminna, but this is unverified
- ISW reports unsuccessful Russian attacks in Bilohorivka, Spirne, Torske, Nevske and Makiivka
- A Russian milblogger claims Ukrainian forces were pushed out of positions near Shiplivka and the Serebryansk forest area
- Minor Russian gains were reported by a pro-Ukrainian mapper northwest of Ploshchanka
Bakhmut
- Fighting continues in and around Bakhmut, with Russian forces claiming to control 80% of the city (up from 76.5% on April 11th according to ISW)
- Wagner forces are attacking mainly in small tactical groups with support from conventional Russian elements
- Ukrainian forces recaptured positions near the railway station and adjacent buildings in Bakhmut

Avdiivka, Marinka and western Donetsk
- Geolocated footage indicates Russian advances near Nova Bakhmutivka in the Avdiivka area
- Ongoing fighting reported around Avdiivka, Pervomaisky, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka and Marinka, but no significant territorial changes
- Russian motorized riflemen and armored vehicles are engaged in intense fighting in central Marinka
Southern frontline (Zaporizhzhia and Kherson)
- No major developments reported in Zaporizhzhia or Kherson oblasts
- Both sides continue routine shelling across the Dnipro River in Kherson
- Russia has built extensive defensive lines in Zaporizhzhia and Crimea in preparation for an expected Ukrainian counteroffensive
Analysis of Russian troop density
Kenneth Gregg, a Swedish soldier fighting in Ukraine, provides an analysis of Russian troop density along the frontlines:
- Kharkiv oblast: 48,600 soldiers (251 per km, 300 per battalion)
- Bakhmut: 7,000 regular soldiers + 22,000 Wagner (271 per km, 200 per battalion)
- Donetsk: 23,050 soldiers (127 per km, 200 per battalion)
- Zaporizhzhia: 23,350 soldiers (107 per km, 280 per battalion)
- Kherson: 15,600 soldiers (57 per km, 370 per battalion)
