📍 FRONT-LINE UPDATE -🗺️ MAP LEGEND
Kupyansk to Svatava to Kreminna Front
- There are repelled attack claims around Novoselivka, Torske and Kuzmivka.
- The Ukrainians are apparently active around the Torske area near Dibrova village and Kuzmyrna.
- Russians are also pushing in those areas, particularly the Serebryansky forest.
- According to a spokesperson, Russian forces in Luhansk are no longer engaging in Wagner-style assaults and are instead conducting reconnaissance operations and attacking in small platoon-sized groups.
Bakhmut Sector
- There are mapping changes showing Ukrainian gains around Yahidne, Klishchiivka, and Bakhmut city itself.
- The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports Ukrainian forces advancing southwest of Klishchiivka and unsuccessfully attacking northwest of Bakhmut.
- The Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) claims repelling Ukrainian attacks near Bakhmut and Berkhivka.
- A Ukrainian spokesperson says they are continuing to attack the flanks and a Russian military blogger reports Russia has deployed reinforcements to the area, with over 50,000 troops now present.
- Fighting is fierce around Klishchiivka, with the Ukrainians having cleared most of the forest areas to the east of the Donbas canal and the city is within sight according to a storm trooper fighting on the ground.
- Russian sources claim Ukrainian troops have advanced somewhat towards Luhivka.
- There are also reports of Russian forces using human wave attacks with undertrained and underequipped mobilised troops from the 1428th Regiment in Bakhmut.
Avdiivka Sector
- The ISW reports repelled attacks around Pervomaiske, Avdiivka itself, and south to Marinka.
- There is activity north of Vodyane along the road to Severne.
- A Russian military blogger claims positional battles are ongoing along the Opytne-Vodyane line.
- Avdiivka has been a tough, bitter fight with high losses on both sides, though likely favouring Ukraine.
Southern Donetsk - Vuhledar and Velyka Novosilka Area
- Geolocated footage confirms Ukrainian forces have advanced northeast of Volodymyrivka.
- The Russian MoD claims repelling a Ukrainian ground attack near Mykilske.
- There was a firefight between Russian soldiers and foreign volunteers fighting for Ukraine at a quarry near Volodymyrivka.
- Ukrainian forces have made gains around Pryiutne according to satellite imagery analysis by a pro-Ukrainian mapper.
Zaporizhzhia Front - Robotyne Area
- Heavy battles are reported near Robotyne with Ukrainian troops advancing somewhat towards Lyubimivka according to Russian sources.
- A pro-Ukrainian mapper suggests the Ukrainians control Lyubimivka and are shelling Russian positions further east.
- Ukrainian assault groups have attacked Russian positions north of Robotyne, gaining about 300m before being partially pushed back by a Russian counterattack.
- The ISW reports Russian claims of repelling small Ukrainian attacks near Pyatykhatky.
Kherson - Antonivsky Bridge Area
- The Russian MoD claims Ukrainian forces near the Antonivsky bridge have been eliminated, with only remnants left that are being cleared.
- However, Russian military bloggers dispute this, saying the real situation is very different from the MoD's claims.
- Analysis by a pro-Ukrainian mapper suggests the Ukrainians control significant parts of the islands near the bridge, more than just a small bridgehead.
- If true, this would allow the Ukrainians to freely move forces across by boat, though the terrain is marshy and difficult.
- The ISW notes the conflicting claims, with some Russian bloggers saying Ukraine maintains positions on the east bank or has withdrawn to wooded areas.
- A former Russian officer claims a Russian commander was wounded in the fighting and that elements of the Russian VDV were transferred from Kherson to Zaporizhzhia, potentially leaving the area vulnerable.
