📍 FRONT-LINE UPDATE -🗺️ MAP LEGEND
Northeast Sector (Kupyansk to Svatove)
- The Russians have made some gains around the Synkivka area according to pro-Russian sources, taking advantage of their force quantity advantages in the region
- However, the Ukrainians have pushed back in some areas, including a small triangle of land near Yampolivka
- Heavy fighting continues in the Serebryansky forest, with the use of cluster munitions reported
Bakhmut Area
- Not much activity reported around the Siversk front
- North of Bakhmut, the Ukrainians were pushed back slightly in a forest area by the M03/E40 highway and in Bakivka
- The Russians need to hold positions in Zalichnensky, Dubovo-Vasylivka and Bakivka to avoid the Ukrainians interdicting the highway and surrounding Russian forces
- Some conflicting reports about Ukrainian gains in Klishchiivka - this may have happened previously rather than recently
Velyka Novosilka Sector
- The village of Urozhaine has likely been liberated by the Ukrainians after being attacked from three directions, forcing a Russian withdrawal
- If Urozhaine falls, it could have a domino effect on nearby Russian-held positions like Novodonetsk
Robotyne Area
- The Ukrainians have made gains in and around Robotyne, surrounding it on three sides
- They have taken the northern half of the town and pushed southeast towards Novopokrovka
- The Russians still hold positions southwest of Novopokrovka which could threaten Ukrainian advances
- Units west of Robotyne have had more success than those to the east, slowly biting off chunks of territory
Kherson Oblast/Dnipro River Delta
- The islands and area around Kozachi Laheri in the river delta are contested, no longer fully Russian-controlled as previously thought
- The Ukrainians have crossed the Konka River, are pressuring Oleshky, and have taken the western part of Kozachi Laheri
- Pro-Russian blogger Romanov, who reported Ukrainian successes, may have been detained by Russian forces
- The Ukrainians are rapidly reinforcing and expanding their bridgehead on the Dnipro's left bank
- Armyansk is likely to be a key Ukrainian objective to interdict Russian logistics
Wrap up
In summary, the situation looks positive for Ukraine in many areas, particularly around Velyka Novosilka, Robotyne, and the Dnipro River in Kherson. However, the Russians are having some success in the northeast which is concerning. The next few weeks will be very interesting to watch, especially the Ukrainian bridgehead in Kherson which could cause major problems for Russia's ability to defend the area due to lack of reserve troops. As always, Jonathan will continue to provide updates.
