"Many people, you know, Andrew Perperchin, myself to some degree, saying the writing is somewhat on the wall for the Ukrainians in Avdiivka. It might be a game of how long they can last there unless the Ukrainians commit to a really meaningful counter-attack in the north."

📍 FRONT-LINE UPDATE -🗺️ MAP LEGEND
North of Kreminna
- Mixed situation north of the Russian salient west of Kreminna
- Russians made some gains towards Yampolivka and Torske according to Rybar maps
- Ukrainians possibly counter-attacking just north of the Russian gains
- Active fighting also occurring south of the salient in the Serebriansky forest near Dibrova
Bakhmut Area
- Russians made gains south of Bakhmut near the railway line, pushing Ukrainians back towards Klishchiivka according to Andrew Perpetua
- Russians have momentum in this area
- No changes to the north near Borynivka and Bakivka which is good for Ukraine
Avdiivka Sector
- Russians made gains south of Avdiivka around Opytne and the quarry according to Rybar and DeepState maps
- Fighting ongoing around Stepove, with Russians controlling the eastern outskirts
- Geolocated footage shows Russians capturing a Ukrainian position southeast of Stepove where an alleged war crime took place with Ukrainian soldiers executed
- Concern that Russian success towards Stepove could lead to surrounding the Avdiivka coke plant and interdicting Ukrainian supply routes
- Andrew Perpetua and Jonathan suggest the outlook is difficult for Ukrainians in Avdiivka without a significant counter-attack
Marinka
- Easier to see changes using DeepStateMap over time
- As of Nov 30, Russians took a sizable chunk of western Marinka
- Rybar maps claimed all of Marinka captured but this was walked back by other Russian sources as a PR stunt
- As of Dec 1, Russians made slight additional gains in southern Marinka but also pushed back in the north
Vuhledar Area
- Ukrainians made some gains towards Kopani from Robotyne according to Andrew Perpetua
- One of the few areas Ukrainians still having some success
- Ukrainian advance north of Volodymyrivka seems to have stalled, struggling to enter Novoprokopivka itself
Dnipro River Area
- Largely static situation
- Russians struggling to eject Ukrainians from bridgeheads but Ukrainians also struggling to expand them
- Difficult to know if Ukrainians maintaining beneficial attrition ratio on Russian troops
- Reports indicate things are tough for Russians (troop losses, drone/artillery difficulties) but also not easy for Ukrainians
- Claim that Ukrainian landing force near Pishchanivka was repelled and forced to retreat but unclear if this means loss of bridgehead
