Vakula Truck

He explains how he met Vadim ("Vakula") who was on 3 days leave from the front to get married and who invited him and some friends for dinner. He talks fondly about the hospitality and generosity that they were shown by Vadim and his fiancée and explains that "Vakula" gave him a knife as a gift, which he shows to the camera. He explains that they had hoped to raise money for a vehicle for Vadim's unit, but were unable to. He goes on to explain that "Vakula" is a blacksmith and makes ornate iron gates, showing a picture to the camera. He reads an excerpt from Wikipedia about the origins of the name, which comes from Nikolai Gogol's story about a blacksmith who defeats the devil.

NAFO Patch

- Book = knowledge.
- "42nd Epistemology Battalion" = a reference to his background as a philosopher and writer - epistemology is the study of knowledge and truth. Also a reference to the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (42 is the answer to the meaning of life, the universe and everything).
- Globe and Compass = geopolitics
- Rod of Asclepius = commemoration for "Pete the Medic", who died in July, for whom they raised funds for an ambulance (through Greg Terry's campaign).
- Wreath = devotion/commemoration.
Jonathan emphasises how important truth, accuracy and fighting disinformation is, stating that this is what ATP Geopolitics is about.
