Kupyansk area
An ammonia pipeline south of Mazyartivka in Russian-controlled territory was shelled, causing a large leak. The Ukrainians and Russians blame each other for the attack. Repairs could take 3 months.

Svatove to Kreminna
The Ukrainians appear to have gained some ground near Novoselicza and are pressuring Svatove from Stalmokivka in the east. Around Kreminna, there is little to report, with the area south of the forest being unusually quiet compared to previous months.

Bakhmut
There are varying claims about Ukrainian advances of 200-1000m in unspecified areas near Bakhmut. The Russians are deploying reserves to prepare for defence in depth. Key areas of fighting are around Zaliznyansky, south of the Berkivka reservoir, and in the southwest of the city itself. The Ukrainians are having some success but are losing equipment. The Russians face a dilemma in choosing where to concentrate their limited reserves.

Avdiivka
The Ukrainians are pushing back in Vodyane, Opytne and Nevelske near Avdiivka. Holding these areas prevents the Russians from encircling the city. The Russian MoD claims to have destroyed two Ukrainian fuel depots in Avdiivka.

Southern Donetsk - Velyka Novosilka
Heavy fighting continues around Velyka Novosilka as the Ukrainians attempt to take the high ground to the west and southwest. The status of some settlements like Neskuchne and Novodonetske is unclear. The Ukrainians have made a 1km advance southwest of Velyka Novosilka according to Russian sources.

Zaporizhzhia direction - Orikhiv
The Ukrainians have launched assaults south of Orikhiv towards Tokmak, with heavy artillery and tank attacks. The fighting is ongoing. Russian sources claim 8-10 brigades of reserves have been "torn apart", with a third of the Zaporizhzhia reserves already committed and taking losses. The Ukrainians are methodically identifying and striking Russian positions.

In summary, the Ukrainian counteroffensive appears to be underway, with probing attacks and artillery strikes all along the frontline. The Russians are struggling to plug gaps and are having to commit substantial reserve forces. However, the main Ukrainian thrust may be yet to come.
