📍 FRONT-LINE UPDATE -🗺️ MAP LEGEND

Russian Defensive Fortifications

• As Ukraine's counteroffensive continues, Russia is building additional layers of defences in occupied territory, both in the east and south along the Zaporizhzhia front line.
• These fortifications are meant to fill gaps in their defensive line. However, if Russia lacks the forces to fill these fortifications, it may not be as effective.

Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna Front

• There is activity along this northeastern front line, with the Russians pushing around Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, and south of the forest in Bilohorivka.
• The Russians are trying to flank the Ukrainians in Novoselivske, a small village on the heights overlooking Kuzmivka.
• The Ukrainians are also pushing in Nevske and Torske, according to the ISW.

Bakhmut Area

• Spirne is almost encircled by the Ukrainians, according to Tim White.
• Ukrainian forces are advancing south of Bakhmut and moving from several directions, threatening Yakovlivka and Soledar.
• The Russians are struggling to hold the line in Klishchiivka, Bekivka, and Yahidne. They have sent reinforcements, including the Akhmat special forces, to maintain the defence.
• The Ukrainians have the initiative and are pushing from multiple directions, aiming for an operational encirclement of Bakhmut and trying to encircle different pockets of Russian resistance.

Avdiivka Area

• Geolocated footage shows the Russians made a sizable 21-vehicle attack and advanced about a kilometre in the Avdiivka area, but at the cost of losing 8 pieces of equipment.
• Both sides are attacking to try and wrest the initiative from the other, with activity reported around Novoselivka, Stepove, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka.

Zaporizhzhia Front

• Progress is slow due to extensive minefields, with reports of 6 anti-personnel mines exploding within a 6-metre stretch.
• Ukrainian sappers are having to clear mines individually, which is time-consuming and dangerous.
• There are conflicting reports about Ukrainian progress and Russian counterattacks around Robotyne, with the fog of war making the situation unclear.
• The Ukrainians are heavily shelling Russian trenches and fortifications in the area, trying to find a weakness to exploit for a breakthrough.

Kherson Area

• The situation around the Antonivsky Bridge seems to be a stalemate, with the Russians re-establishing some positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River that were previously flooded.
• Russian forces are encountering mines dispersed throughout their positions during the flood and are reluctant to return to abandoned positions.
• The Ukrainians have superior electronic warfare capabilities in the area, which may be disrupting Russian communications and ability to call in close air support.
