"The Russians are tired, they will break, it is a matter of time."
Hello Team!
Jonathan is back in his study after the electrician's van broke down. Due to the amount of content, this update will be split into two parts. Part 1 will cover hits and losses, strikes, and frontline updates. Part 2 will cover geopolitical and military aid segments.

Russian Losses
- Ukrainian General Staff figures for Russian losses were average, with 510 personnel liquidated, 1 tank, 7 armoured personnel vehicles, 17 artillery systems, 2 MLRS, 1 anti-aircraft system, 33 drones, 12 vehicles/fuel tanks, and 7 pieces of special equipment lost.
- Ukrainians are also losing considerable equipment, but not to the same degree as Russians. Oryx's two-day update shows 37 Ukrainian pieces lost vs 64 for Russia.
- Footage shows Ukrainians targeting Russian surveillance equipment.
- A working Bradley was captured by Russians in Zaporizhzhia region.
High-Ranking Russian Commander Killed
Lieutenant General Oleg Tsokov, deputy commander of the Southern Military District, was killed in a Ukrainian strike on a Russian command post in occupied Berdyansk. He is the highest-ranking Russian officer eliminated in Ukraine so far. Other high-ranking officials were likely lost in the strike as well.

Overnight Strikes
- 15 Shahed drones were launched across Ukraine overnight, with 11 shot down. The 4 that got through caused unknown damage.
- Explosions were reported in Berdyansk, Skadovsk, Tokmak and Chernihivka in Russian-occupied areas.
- Sumy Oblast on the northern border was hit 225 times by artillery in one day. The Ukrainian government demanded evacuation of everyone within 5km of the border in Sumy.
Russian Commanders
- Major General Popov, commander of the 58th Army, was removed and sent to the front lines by Gerasimov for "alarmism" after he raised the need to rotate units that have suffered significant losses. Popov threatened to report the issue directly to Putin.
- Despite rumours, there is still no evidence that Gerasimov himself has been moved to a different position.
Ukrainian Commander Resigns
Valery Markus, a popular Ukrainian commander with a large online following, announced his resignation to a lower position due to disagreement with command staff decisions on the use and development of the 47th Brigade. While some see this as concerning, others say it is just an emotional outburst and not unusual, cautioning against making a mountain out of a molehill.

Frontline Updates
- Near Bakhmut, Ukrainians are advancing south of the city towards Klishchiivka, Kurdyumivka and Andriivka. They control the high ground above Klishchiivka. Russians are putting up strong resistance and bringing in reserves, including Kadyrovites who suffered losses in a failed counterattack.
- In Vuhledar, Ukrainians claim a 4 sq km advance towards Mykilske.
- Near Kreminna, a grey zone has expanded towards Torske. Embarrassing footage for Ukraine showing this was taken down.
- In Kherson, Ukrainians increased their bridgehead presence on the left bank of the Dnipro, pushing Russians back over the Konka River. Russian sources admit surrendering the dacha area near Antonivsky Bridge without a fight.
- Heavy fighting continues in Avdiivka with both sides losing equipment, but taking a toll on Russians.
