"Avdiivka is more strategically useful than Bakhmut by quite a distance. I think it's a real thorn in the side for the DPR, for the Donetsk People's Republic and the control of Donetsk. It allows the Ukrainians to shell military targets within Donetsk city."

Wrap up
Jonathan notes the Kherson front is turning out to be very interesting, while eyes are also on Avdiivka where Russians are trying to encircle the city for a significant victory they have been lacking. Bakhmut is still contested despite Russian capture. Ukraine is struggling to make major advances. More ATACMS usage from Ukraine was expected after two airports were hit but hasn't materialized yet. Jonathan apologizes for background noise and distraction from home renovations. He thanks viewers for their support and promises to be back with another update soon.
