🪦 DISCLAIMER FOR GENERAL STAFF LOSSES DATA
- These are real people with real lives and real families who love them. Don’t let the numbers sap your humanity.
- These numbers probably aren’t accurate but they’re the best we have and we don’t need them to be accurate to be indicative of patterns of activity.
- All losses are estimates. Losses cannot be counted with accuracy because of the conditions on the ground.
- Both sides would see it to be of their advantage to minimize their own losses maximize the other side’s losses.
- Neither side releases their losses but we have enough transparency from the Ukrainian side to have confidence in they are indicative.
- Personnel losses are hard to count. If a soldier gets injured, heals up, and returns to the front line only to get injured again, is that one loss or two? Also, how to deal with losses from PMC’s or soldiers fighting with RF from occupied territories?
- Equipment losses are hard to count. If an AA complex involves several parts and one part gets disabled, is that a loss, or a fraction of a loss? If a tank gets disabled, repaired, back into the fight, then disabled again, is that one lost tank or two?
- All recorded losses are vulnerable to multiple reporting. We have already seen numerous cases of multiple drones in the air reporting the same loss from different angles as multiple engagements.
- Losses are not always reported on the same day they occurred. It is frequent that drone losses are reported at least 24 hours after other terrestrial equipment losses. Certain losses may not be reported for days or weeks for military intelligence reasons.
Russian Losses
- Slight uptick in Russian KIA yesterday at 650, about 150 more than recent average of 500
- 11 tanks and 10 APVs lost which is significant. Consistently losing 5-15 per day but without generous Western support, hard to replace
- 24 artillery systems taken out, another very bad day for Russians. Lack of counter-battery fire is hampering their defence
- 3 anti-aircraft warfare systems lost, above daily average of less than 1
- 30 vehicles and fuel tanks destroyed, impacting logistics
Striker Hit by Lancet Drone
Footage released claiming to show a Russian Lancet drone hitting a U.S. supplied Striker vehicle. Video cuts off immediately after impact so no evidence Striker was actually damaged or destroyed. Lancets are variable in the damage they inflict.

Drone Strikes
- Russian 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled gun destroyed by drone strike 11.5km from front line, one of furthest confirmed distances
- Operators likely 3km further back so total distance of 14.5km, showing how battlefield has changed with proliferation of cheap drones
S-300 Battery Destroyed
- Rare Russian S-300 V4 air defence battery targeted by Ukrainian HIMARS in the south
- Drones freely operated spotting for the HIMARS strike
- Erector launcher, radar and transporter erector launcher destroyed, radars damaged
- Spotting drones should have been detected and engaged by S-300 radar
- Destroying a whole S-300 battery is a very high value hit, opening up that region to potential aircraft/HIMARS strikes. Footage likely released in response to recent Russian claims of destroying Ukrainian S-300
Other News
- Footage of Russian R-330Zh Zhitel automated jamming station destroyed along with personnel and tank
- Russian ammo storage captured by Ukraine forces, thousands of mines and other munitions now in Ukrainian hands
- Captured Western equipment including Swedish CV90, French AMX-10, British Mastiff and Saxon being displayed by Russia in Moscow
- Another attempted arson attack on Russian army enlistment office, representative of anti-war sentiment in Russia
- Overnight Ukrainian drone strikes on Kaluga region, Russia claims 3 shot down. Russia launched 16 Shahed drones at Ukraine, 13 shot down. Port areas of Reni and Izmail targeted again, grain storage hit
- New thermal drone mine-clearing technique being used by Ukraine to detect and neutralise mines more safely
- Kakhova Reservoir water level has dropped so much it may now be crossable by armour according to some reports
- Ukraine seizes $200M in assets from oligarch Dmytro Firtash accused of supplying titanium products to Russian military
- Shoigu speech full of nonsense claims like Russia has ended Western military dominance, Soviet equipment superior to Western, and no cluster munitions used in Ukraine - all easily disproven
