"Robotna will likely fully fall if it hasn't already in the coming hours. And then we're going to see the Ukrainians dealing with second and third lines of defense."
Hello Team!
Jonathan provides a late night frontline update for August 15, 2023. He mentions his map is not fully updated but will show the changes using Andrew Perpetua's map.

📍 FRONT-LINE UPDATE -🗺️ MAP LEGEND
Northeast Sector - Kreminna Frontline
- Syriac maps claim a small Russian advance just east of Sienkiewka, reflecting a 1km advance over the last week.
- Around the Svatove area, Andrew Perpetua's map shows changes that appear to be adjustments based on Russian control rather than new advances.
Bakhmut
- Conflicting claims about the situation in Klishchivka. Russian sources claim they have recaptured the village, while the ISW cites geolocated footage showing minor Ukrainian advances south of Klishchivka.
- Abandoned Russian equipment was geolocated behind Russian lines, raising questions about the situation.
- Limited information coming out of Bakhmut makes it difficult to confirm the actual status.
Southern Front - Urazhajny and Staromajorska
- Urazhajny has been liberated by Ukrainian forces.
- Russian sources admit withdrawal but claim the village is now a "gray zone".
- Ukrainians are expected to advance in at least three directions: Priyutnaya, Staromonovka, and Novodonetsk.
Robotna
- Ukrainian forces have made significant progress around Robotna, liberating the north and west of the town and pushing Russians from defensive positions in the east.
- Two-thirds of Robotna is now under Ukrainian control. Russians have retreated to trench defenses on the southern outskirts.
- New Western equipment like Stryker APCs and Marder IFVs have been seen on the frontlines for the first time. A Russian claim of destroying a Stryker with a Lancet drone is disputed.
- The fall of Robotna seems imminent, with focus shifting to how well-manned Russian second and third defensive lines are.
Kherson
- Russians are on high alert in Holopristan, southwest of Kherson. The city is almost sealed with tightened checkpoint regimes.
- There are unconfirmed rumors of a Ukrainian bridgehead across the Dnipro river at Holopristan.
- Tight operational security means limited information is coming out of the Kherson/Dnipro river area from either side.
Wrap up
